“Why all your marketing should include eBooks? Business owners, entrepreneurs, and freelancers all can benefit from creating their own eBooks. eBooks can range on a wide variety of subjects, ultimately generating traffic & leads”.

Before delving into what are ebooks and how they can help us, we have to first do some psycho-analysis. What do people want in business other than the obvious and more leads, they need valuable information that can help them without it costing them a penny or a dime. They want information that they can implement into their own marketing strategies and that is why I am on a voyage to do a series of business ebooks that will not cost you anything other than your time reading them.

I start off by showing you my own marketing strategies.

I have tried and tested a lot of marketing techniques and get-rich-quick schemes and successfully all they have done is burned holes in my pockets. I find the only way to get interactions is through networking and being constantly active on my blogs and social media channels.

When I hear how someone says they have made zero to a million in 30 days and make you listen to an hour and a half of waffle for then to upsell you a ticket at $500 it makes me mad because there are people that will pay that sort of money because they are desperate at being millionaires when in reality the only person that gets rich is the person that advertises their campaign whilst sitting in their private jets.

Believe me, I have tried the videos ads and banner ads, and I have tried giving my services away for free but the problem is if someone has never heard of you why should they trust you?

I have now realized that blogging, affiliate marketing, networking, podcasting, public speaking, and giving valuable content can be implemented in business and will undoubtedly attract followers and generate leads.

Here is a prime example of someone I follow on LinkedIn. If you have not heard of Rob Moore he is a successful entrepreneur multi-millionaire author, property investor, public speaker, podcaster, and top social media influencer based in the UK who recently gave a Mercedes away and loads of cash. He has interviewed some of the most famous and controversial people on this planet.

There is a clue in the above paragraph… (author and giveaway). Yes, he has written many books and is a best-selling author on how to get out of debt and gives financial advice. So the point I am making is he gives away valuable content and assets and that is how he gains his followers.

I on the other hand want to help business owners, entrepreneurs, or freelancers to scale their businesses to the next level with my own tried and tested methods without it costing you an arm and a leg. I will on my sites offer this information for free without you having to sit through boring podcasts and you can download the books to read when and where it suits you.

What Is A Marketing Ebook?

An ebook ( in short, an “electronic book”) is an alternative to a hard physical copy, which makes them more versatile. The digital version of a paperback can be read on either a computer or a handheld device. eBooks are usually formatted as PDF documents to transfer quickly from one person to another, although they may be available in other versions depending on the device a person is using.

The fundamentals of ebook marketing ebooks are to generate leads. This gated content can range from whitepapers, ebooks, and videos to case studies, product demos, and webinars. Gated content is online material that requires users to fill out a form to access the document. These forms typically ask for basic personal information, like name and email address, or registration on a website.

Why Use Marketing Ebooks?

According to statistics 65% of B2B companies use ebooks in their content marketing campaigns. Businesses can talk about their industry and services, moreover, ebooks are considered one of the most powerful marketing tools and can gain traction if the content is valuable to the end user. One cannot confuse a company brochure with an eBook. An ebook is a “how to” problem-solving guide. It is meant for the reader to gain insights and use the lesson in their own business.

Benefits to marketing using eBooks:

  • eBooks can increase brand awareness
  • eBooks can attract high-quality leads
  • eBooks can build credibility, authority, and trust
  • eBooks can help you become an industry leader and help you stand out from the competition
  • eBooks can improve your marketing strategies

When writing and marketing your ebooks it’s easy to think you need to deliver the definitive ebook, but that is usually not the case because the chances are someone has already written something similar the difference is you have your own arena of followers who you can market and advertise to and they won’t go elsewhere and over time will become loyal to you.

Your ebook may be a subscriber incentive, you should make your book appealing without making it into a bible. If you give all your secrets away why should your readers bother coming back?

eBooks Increase Brand Awareness

When creating ebooks you can target specific niche audiences. This is beneficial if people have never heard of you. It helps to promote brand awareness.

Some businesses may seek help from market research agencies and may conduct market research surveys on a specific topic. thus putting all the information together in a marketing ebook.

By giving a brief snippet of what your book is about, you will capture people’s curiosity and anyone interested in your content will want to download it.

eBooks Attract High-Quality Leads

Marketing ebooks are probably the most popular and effective strategy for generating relevant leads. However knowing how to write an ebook, format it and convert it into different versions is another ball game, not to mention if you wish to publish and distribute it for sale. I have therefore written an ebook on “how to Create aneBook”. There are a few things you should know one of them is a sloppy ebook will do you no favors so it needs to be well-written and proofread.

eBooks are the perfect solution if you want to expand your network, and gain followers and possible clientele.

The most important part of you being the author of your eBook is that you gain credibility and become an industry leader in your field.

Your ebook by far must be a problem-solving guide so that your readers gain knowledge. Your ebook should inspire, and motivate people to create their own ebooks.

Your ebook should be just about building an email list although your followers will appreciate any other books you may publish in the future.

Your ebook should showcase the products and services that you provide, by showing your expertise. It should also be a representation of your brand and what you can do for the reader should they decide to call on you.

eBooks Build Authority, Credibility, And Trust

In order to convince people that you are better than your competitors, you need to establish yourself as an industry leader who has authority over the industry and extensive knowledge of the business you are marketing.

Write about a topic that you have extensive knowledge in or if you are a content writer you can extend your knowledge through research. A business owner who would like to have an ebook but perhaps may not have time to create one may call on ghostwriters to collaborate with marketing agencies to help them generate leads.

To position yourself as an industry leader you have to show your audience you are credible and that the products and services you are marketing are of high caliber, you have to show that you are an expert in your field. A well-written marketing ebook will open up new opportunities that can lead to new clients. If you succeed in gaining the trust of your target group, your sales will skyrocket.

eBooks Help You Become An Industry Leader

If you want to stay ahead of the competition you have to be the best of the best. You have to go above and beyond your call of duty.

When writing your book concentrate on what you are teaching. The book is not about you it is about the knowledge you have gained that you want to pass on to others. You must create content that stands out from the crowd in a saturated market.

Your book should be about problem-solving and you can link certain points of the book to the services you provide for example I have added links to my content writing, blog development, and internet marketing in strategic places that do not take away the focus of what the book is about. My readers may want a helping hand with proofreading, website design, or digital marketing.

eBooks Improve Your Marketing Strategy

Your ebook should be educational, informative, inspiring, and insightful. In order to market your ebook you need to be familiar with search engine optimization and you should start with a landing page, blog, or article.

You should also have a network of connections you can share your article, including social media platforms, groups, and pages. In my book, I talk about SEO link wheels and how having multiple blogs and websites helps to generate traffic from multiple directions using an exact-match searchable keyword or phrase domain names.

If you run a blog you will be familiar with blog posts, these are an excellent starting point for marketing your articles which you can monetize with affiliate links and at the same time have a subscribe and download form ready for your readers.

Where you have written articles on the subject matter you can expand your ebook with more detailed information about a particular topic, improving their content marketing strategy. With ebooks, you can elaborate in-depth concepts and ideas.

An ebook allows the consumer to have your content on hand as a handy guide that can be downloaded and read on their preferred choice of device.

eBooks are by far one of the most powerful converting lead magnets that you will ever need in your marketing strategy.

Hopefully, the teachings of this article and the ebook will bring you sales, leads, and conversions.

Building a Business Can Positively Impact Your Community.

Building a Business Can Positively Impact Your Community

Small businesses make big differences in their communities. In fact, small businesses have added millions of jobs to the economy while many national corporations have eliminated positions. Of course, their impact goes beyond job opportunities — small businesses influence neighborhood culture and become a staple of hometowns.

However, launching a small business takes careful planning, especially if your goal is changing your city for the better. The following steps prepare you for the realities of running a company while balancing local giving.

For your next digital marketing project, connect with Cymru Digital Marketing to scale your business!

Find Your Niche

Your first decision is what goods or services to sell. It’s essential to offer something the community needs, so do some research to find your niche. For example, if you want to open a restaurant, look at what’s missing from the neighborhood menu. There may be many fast food places but no options for health-conscious customers.

Apply for Funding

Every company needs capital to get off the ground. Fortunately, there are plenty of resources for small businesses:

  • Grants
  • Small business loans
  • Entrepreneur programs

You can also look for investors who agree to finance your enterprise for a percentage of business ownership.

Set Up Your Website

Even if you cater to local customers, you still need a website. While it’s possible to create your own with templates, you’ll save time by outsourcing to a professional web designer. The expert team at Cymru Digital Marketing can ensure your site is aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, and fully functional.

Maintain Cash Flow With Invoicing Software

In any business, large or small, accurate invoicing is essential to maintaining cash flow and keeping track of what is owed to you. While billing by hand may be fine for a one-person operation, as soon as you start working with multiple clients or taking on employees, manual invoicing becomes time-consuming and error-prone. This is where invoicing software can save the day. Customer invoicing software automates the billing process, making it faster and easier to generate accurate invoices. You’ll also be able to add a button to invoices that allow customers to pay online.

Advertise Locally

Local advertisements get local customers. To bring in the crowds, focus your marketing with the following strategies:

Partner With Local Entrepreneurs

Connecting to other local businesses is a great way to support your peers and offer more to the community. One of the best ways to do so is by joining municipal associations. These are usually organized by industry, allowing you to meet entrepreneurs with similar aspirations and challenges.

Support Community Charities

Local shops are uniquely positioned to work with charities within the community. You can do so by donating directly, hosting campaigns that donate a portion of sales, and even volunteering time, space, and labor.

Tap Into Local Talent

As a local business, you can create opportunities for the talent in your neighborhood. When looking to expand your workforce or hire a contractor, look nearby. A great place to start is universities and trade schools. Reaching out to new graduates and trainees keeps resources in the community.

Running a small business takes determination and a clear vision of the future, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling, especially when you contribute to your community. With the right approach, your enterprise and neighborhood can flourish.

Disagreeing With Your Competitor

Keep your business moving forward

Disagreeing With Your Competitor.

Minding my own business, I scrolled through my LinkedIn Notifications and noticed someone blatantly taking the proverbial p#ss out of a local pizza company. Curious about the topic of discussion and because I specialize in domain names I decided to join the conversation.

The entity happens to live in the same city as me in Cardiff Wales and runs a Marketing Agency, he pointed out that a domain name a pizza company was using has the word sh#t in the domain name. It did not have the actual word; it was the way the letters were merged and highlighted by my competitor that showed all the words in poor taste (no pun intended).

There is a saying “put your brain in gear before putting your mouth in motion” and for me, Monday morning was the start of my content writing week, and I should have thought twice before ending up arguing in a testosterone-heated discussion.

My competitor later admitted he copied the image and content from Reddit and then went on a defense that he has always supported the company and gave them free marketing…yer right.

My point was, never take the mick out of another business for the following reasons:

  1. If you are on a network channel such as LinkedIn, someone you are connected to and who does not agree with your message may never use you in the future or pass work your way. You should never burn all your bridges. I wont be sending business their way.
  2. If the business that was made a mockery of found out and the article went viral, there would be a certain amount of people that may not use the business, thinking if they cannot get their domain/branding right, it could look like they do not have much money to invest in a decent domain name so what is the quality of their pizzas going to be, are they scrimping on the ingredients too?
  3. The business does not want to be seen by people that will join in on the banter. The business loses credibility.
  4. It shows unprofessionalism.
  5. You instantly lose trustworthiness and credibility.

The image below is proof in the pudding of what I was trying to say as low and behold a person actually commented about the innuendo the marketing agency implied about the domain name and the pizza guy.

I have redacted the person’s name that made the comment.

So, although this competitor thought it was funny to take the p#ss out of a company. I quickly jumped on the bandwagon in the Pizza Companies’ defense.

I tried to point out if this was a photo of my business being circulated around social media and I had a questionable domain name (I am a domain broker so that would never happen but if it did) and people were laughing at me I would if I was in the Pizza guy’s shoes, sue the entity that started it.

Not being a lawyer (solicitor), I used the wrong words, I said I would sue the entity for defamation of character but what I should have said was “I would sue them for Libel”.

Yes, this article came with trolls, and everyone seemed to be on the side of the competitor, congratulating him for his publicity stunt and stupidity.

However, for the pizza guy, his pizza domain will be stuck in my head, not for his delicious pizzas (as I have never tried them) but for his poor choice of the domain name and the article I read.

The one troll said any lawyer wanting to take this case on would also be taking the p#ss. I stopped interacting after that, as I did not want to add any further fuel to the fire. I defused the situation.

So unbeknown to the entities in this article, I consult with lawyers (solicitors) as I happen to own a solicitor’s directory and forum which is for sale:

www.cardiffsolicitors.co.uk

(The Domain & Website Are For Sale Or Lease, along with www.conveyancingcardiff.co.uk and www.cardiffprobatesolicitors.co.uk).

What is libel and slander?

Headlines show us that celebrities and the rich and famous go through libel or slander lawsuits – however, it’s also a big problem for businesses and in the most extreme cases can damage a business’s reputation to the point where it can no longer continue trading.

So, what should a business do if it finds out that a third party is making libelous or slanderous statements about it?

The fundamental differences between libel and slander are when somebody makes a false or untrue statement or claim about an individual or an organization that harms their reputation or good standing, verbally or in writing.

Both cases are classed as defamation although there is an important difference between the two – libel concerns written or drawn statements, and photographs, whilst slander concerns verbal defamatory words.

Defamation is said to have occurred simply when a statement is made that lowers somebody’s opinion of your business as a result of hearing or reading it.

A brand that cannot afford a high-quality domain name may be questioned if they have enough finances for their business and the quality of the products or services they sell.

“Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room. – Jeff Bezos, Founder, Amazon.com

Defamation is notorious on social media as I have found out and can often take place where individuals and customers are able to express their feelings about your business.

As an example: Price Chopper in the US saw a tweet that was criticizing them. They saw that the individual who had tweeted was employed by a business who they had some sort of commercial relationship with. And although the tweet wasn’t related to that relationship, and was on a personal account, they complained to the employing company that the tweet could jeopardize the relationship between the two companies, and they requested that the employer take some action against the tweeter.

What my competitor failed to see is even though he is one of my first connections on LinkedIn I am never going to send business his way or recommend him, as who is to say that he could not or would not slander me or anyone I sent his way further down the line? He lost credibility and trustworthiness posting that article on LinkedIn.

Another Case of defamation: In Preece v JD Wetherspoon plc, a pub manager was verbally abused by certain customers. The manager posted on her Facebook account about the situation and criticized the customers. A relative saw the comments and complained to the company which subsequently dismissed the manager for gross misconduct. https://www.workspace.co.uk/content-hub/business-insight/analysis-how-social-media-can-damage-brands

If your business finds itself in the unfortunate dilemma of having a libelous or slanderous statement made about them they need to collect all the evidence to make the case solid. It is very important to quickly assess the situation and, if necessary, take decisive action.

In most cases, no action will be taken as there is not enough evidence and witnesses may be reluctant to get involved. People are likely to hear the statement and/or may not take the comments seriously or back your corner.

One has to weigh up the pros and cons and if it is worth the money, time, and heartache of suing someone that may not have two cents (pennies) to rub together?

Sometimes causing unnecessary publicity from the lawsuit could actually further damage a business’s reputation and in such circumstances drawing attention to itself may actually do more harm than good.

If you feel this is the route to go through, are adamant you have enough evidence, and can prove you have lost business or will lose business, then the next step is to find a lawyer (solicitor).

Sometimes lawsuits can be avoided, and incidents nipped in the bud and mended what is broken by doing extensive PR Campaigns to show the business in good light.

In the case of the pizza guy, the best plan of action would be to change his domain name. He does not necessarily need to rebrand just have an exact match of searchable keywords and phrases in his domain name without the letter SH#T in the URL.

For the marketing company disrespecting his brand name, I would have done this differently if I were them, I would have reached out to the pizza guy and told him what people have noticed and are saying and then offer some relatable domain names, rather than making a mockery of his brand for a few likes and follows. (Low Blow PR Stunt).

What the marketing company (competitor) did was give me an idea to write an article that relates to my three sites: UK Domain Brokers Site and also the Cardiff Solicitors Site as well as the Marketing Journal and it gave me the opportunity to contact the pizza guy myself with a couple of domain names and offer him some marketing...thank you.

Legal action can be costly and time-consuming and there is no guarantee that the outcome, hence if people are laughing about a brand name behind the owner’s back, someone needs to step in and defend them.

A pizza guy may be an expert in baking pizzas and may not have the knowledge of SEO and Marketing, so PR stunt or not I will not be giving this marketing company any work or recommendations.

What if I need to take legal action?

To make a claim against libel or slander you must start legal proceedings within 12 months of the defamatory statement being made otherwise you will be legally unable to take any action against the other party.

How can I avoid making libelous or slanderous statements myself?

The best course of action is like I said earlier putting your brain in gear before putting your mouth in motion and quite simply ‘think before you speak!’ Be extremely careful about making accusations about another party, especially if you cannot provide proof that what you are saying is true.

Never make innuendos such as the marketing company did, and highlighted the letters SH#T in the domain name. This implies the guy’s pizzas are inferior. Sometimes it is better to keep your opinions to yourself.

I have not shared the previous article written by my competitor purposely as I do not want to draw further attention to something that should have been avoided providing the person posting the article had one ounce of common sense, which in my opinion he did not.

Simply highlighting the letters SH#T in the domain name was disrespectful to the domain owner even though he could have chosen a better domain.

Who wins at the end of this? I do of course because I have secured two exact match domain names that will help the pizza guy with his marketing and advertising?

I wonder what the competitor’s clients would think if this was brought to their attention, after all, my competitor has his clients on his landing page and I am sure it would not look good for him if he was seen to be disrespecting another company.

When publicly speaking about a third party one needs to be careful not to say anything derogatory or offensive, because making statements can leave you open to being sued for defamation or libel.

It is much better to empower, support, and find solutions for businesses that may be experiencing issues with branding and domain names rather than criticizing and laughing at the expense of their errors, for your own gains”.

Early Steps To Take for a Long-Lasting Business

Starting a new business means juggling many responsibilities — not only for your livelihood but for that of your partners and employees. Administrative duties aren’t the most glitzy or appealing parts of the business. But if you develop effective and reliable methods to get them done — like these from Cymru Marketing — you’ll be closer to launching a successful business.

What, exactly, are the least appealing but most important behind-the-scenes tasks you need to do for your young business?

Banking Matters: Accounting and Payroll

From the moment your business launches and years into its lifecycle, you want to have organized, thoroughly documented financial data. As SmallBizDaily points out, accounting information helps you analyze your business’s performance, and it’s important for filing taxes — errors or missed deadlines in your business’s taxes can result in penalties. As your business grows, so will your accounting needs, so you may decide to hire an accountant or use software to take care of the books.

Similarly, a meticulous payroll system will serve you well both in the early days of your business and after it’s fully established. If your payroll taxes aren’t managed correctly, you may incur penalties, so look for a service that offers penalty protection.

The ideal small biz software apps will also streamline other payment processes to save you time, like employee time tracking, fast direct deposit, and automatic payroll calculation with all the payroll forms applied correctly.

Getting Your Start-Up on Its Feet: Funding Options

Accounting and payroll are financial processes that come into play only when your organization has actually secured funding. Funding is perhaps the most basic requirement of having any kind of business, notes Think Latitude, so even if it’s not an appealing part of the work, it is a priority. There are many ways to go about financing your enterprise, each with different advantages.

If you’re starting a business that has a chance at explosive growth, you may consider seeking out venture capital funding from investors. If investors choose to work with you, they can be a huge help in providing the money (“seed capital”) you need to launch your business. They’ll also most likely become members of your company or have some portion of ownership in the business.

Other strategies for funding a new business are crowdfunding, an internet-based effort, or self-financing, which means that you pay the expenses of starting the business yourself and own the business in its entirety.

The Organization at Its Core: Choosing the Operational Structure

One way to approach the need for funding, and the structure of your business as a whole, is by choosing the type of operational structure you’ll be running. Several options are available, including forming a limited company, a sole trader, a partnership, or a limited liability partnership (LLP).

Each type of organization comes with its own set of pros and cons, all dependent on what’s the best fit for your business. For instance, the LLP structure offers both immediate and long-term advantages: It limits personal liability in cases of debt or bankruptcy and is pretty easy to create and operate either on your own, with a lawyer, or through a service.

Starting a business is one of the most exciting career steps you can take, and streamlining the chores of getting started leaves more room for you to enjoy yourself. When technical tasks aren’t stressing you out or slowing you down, you can focus on perfecting the product or service that you set out to share with the world, celebrating what you’ve accomplished alongside your team, and maybe even taking time off.

www.MarketingCardiff.com

www.MARKETINGCARDIFF.com

I am pleased to announce that I have acquired www.marketingcardiff.com by a fluke.

It was not available last year as I am always looking for ways to generate more traffic, so I was surprised to see it on the IONOS marketplace and had to grab it.

SEO Link Wheel.

I am happy I have the dot com as I will have no use for any other domain extension, just in case anyone approached me regarding the .co.uk just saying… Furthermore, if someone then decides to develop the co.uk version there may be a reason to start a UDRP.

Website Development.

It is what came first the chicken or the egg scenario. I developed a website on a dot com (king of domains) long before any other counterpart.

Branding.

This domain will serve as another cog to my ever-expanding SEO link wheel. This domain is a keeper as it has played on my mind whenever I say ‘Cymru’ not everyone I speak to knows what the word means. It is the Welsh Word for Wales and as well as people not knowing how to pronounce it let alone spell it, may also find difficulty remembering it. Hence that is why I am excited to add an addition to my lead generation marketing strategies.

Obviously, the site is not fully developed as I only acquired it today but over the next few weeks, time permitting, I will build this site to accompany my default sites.

I have also kept my ‘Cymru Marketing’ Logo Initials where the (CM) stands for Cymru Marketing, whereas now the initials are reversed to Marketing Cardiff (MC). However had I re-designed the initials the M letter does not sit right on the letter C, hence I have left the lettering the same. As long as I get the traffic what’s a couple of letters in a logo. If anything it makes the logo even more unique and talked about after all ‘Cymru Marketing’ is here to stay and it will always be one of my default websites, with ‘Marketing Cardiff’ as an add-on.

The way I see it the logo is recognizable it has been around for a few years and people who recognize and relate to an image can memorize images symbols and logos far quicker than remembering words. People will see the logo and see it as a trustworthy source, so why confuse people with more than one logo, at the end of the day it is a personal preference and my decision. If anything the logo says that ‘Cymru Marketing Brand ‘ is behind ‘Marketing Cardiff’.

One has to remember that exact match searchable keywords and phrases domain names will rank your website far quicker and will secure global positioning providing you do your SEO correctly.

Having brandable made-up words, acronyms or personal brand names needs extensive Advertising and PR, whilst having searchable words people actively search for will save you money in the long run. Choose your domain names carefully and if you need some help with your SEO link wheel we will be happy to give you some free advice and do a free SEO audit report of your website.

As an example I have my own personal brand domain name www.renataentrepreneur.com but if people do not know who you are and have never heard of you before they are not going to be searching for you. Fortunately for me, I have been around for donkeys’ years so I am well known in certain circles.

Even if you are ranked for keywords that you have assigned in your meta description people are less likely to view your site as opposed to the and exact match searchable keyword or phrase domain name. You would have to be well known or a household name which can take a long time to achieve before people started to search for you.

Valuation.

The domain name www.marketingcardiff.com on estibot.com is according to the bot worth less than $100 but on Godaddy Appraisal Tool it is worth $904

To be honest, I rarely use these bots and whenever I am appraising a domain name. I do my calculations based on Google Keyword Planner and how many searches per month and the cost of the PPC bids would be. I then can advise that having a certain domain name would save the investor in advertising costs.

However, if the domain name has equity such as a product, service, website, and assets then you are talking about a different ball game, and even though I have no intention to sell this domain name my equity which these bots do not know about will increase the value.

40 Ways to Get More Business.

I have decided today to take a leaf out of my own book and practice what I preach.

With that said I am going to develop a directory of businesses and forums on my site where people can come and hang out. It is in the beta stage at the moment, watch this space.

I may even start a local periodical magazine.

There is a saying ‘If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain‘ arises from the story of Muhammad, as retold by Francis Bacon, in Essays, 1625: Mahomet called the Hill to come to him. … If the mountain will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet will go to the mountain.

In other words get people to come to you, rather than you going to them. Moving one stone at a time you will eventually move the mountain.
