I have stopped paying the license as my daughter and I do not watch terrestrial TV or watch any live stream programs. I, therefore, phoned the TV Licensing people last year and the person I spoke to said he would make a note on the system. This obviously did not happen because today I received a letter stating someone is coming to my property for an inspection…Good Luck to them is all that I can say.
Now I have written about TV Licencing before in Part (1) and Part (2) links below.
If you tell them you do not need a TV License, they will send you confirmation of your No Licence Needed declaration. They will want to come to your property to confirm this as true. This is because when they visit and make contact, they usually find one in eight people* that tell them they don’t need a TV Licence actually do need one.
If you are not licensed, you risk prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000** plus any legal costs and/or compensation you may be ordered to pay.
Proof You Need a License.
Now my question is how can they prove anyone watches TV if they enter a property?
Owning a mobile phone, laptop, computer or tablet does not prove anything.
In fact, I do have a laptop, tablet, and mobile phone but would I be willing to allow them to inspect them, I most definitely would not.
It would be against GDPR to allow anyone access to a device that has sensitive data on it as in my case as I own a business and I would be breaching the security of my client’s data if anyone gained access to my devices.
They would need proof of probable cause that I watched TV or Live streamed which I and my daughter do not.
I am too busy running a business to waste my brain cells watching TV.
If they have an issue and want people to pay they should introduce a pay-as-you-go paywall, that would solve the problem rather than use bully tactics to scare people into paying.
I will not be intimidated and I know my rights.
I do not have to let anyone into my property or access my devices without a warrant and I certainly would not allow anyone to access my devices unless they had a court order. Furthermore, once it was proven that none of my devices had a history of watching TV or Live Streaming I would sue the entities in question.
Entering Premises Without a Warrant.
In general, the police do not have the right to enter a person’s house or other private premises without the person’s permission unless they have a warrant, then that would be different. However, they can enter without a warrant under special circumstances: when in close pursuit of someone the police believe has committed or attempted to commit, a serious crime, or. to sort out a disturbance. The only other people that can enter your property if the statutory right is granted to a person in the state and public service jobs in specific situations only.
Some examples of these roles are:
Fire service workers
Council and local authority trading standards officers
Some enforcement agents

I feel however that I have to speak on behalf of public interest who may also be in similar situations as myself yet receive threatening and intimidating correspondence, that a pay-as-you-go paywall should be introduced with immediate effect and that people should be made aware of their rights and not be intimidated into paying when they are certain they do not watch TV.
I also agree there will be people claiming they do not watch TV when in reality they do, surely smart TVs (sorry I do not have one) can send a signal to the TV Licensing people similar to Smart Meters if the TV is accessed or not. Furthermore, why not introduce a subscription just like Netflix, Disney, and Amazon Prime Video, this would solve the problem unless they are worried they will not have enough subscribers?
This is a personal experience I have endured with a local Cardiff Gas Engineers today.
I had an appointment yesterday for a consultation and re-scheduled all my appointments to fit in with the engineer arriving as I have a fault with low pressure and my combi-boiler cutting out at least twice a day.
(I do not like conducting my business in front of my landlord or contractors he sends out, even though I once specifically asked the landlord not to turn up because I had an important call, he purposely ignored my request and turned up anyway. He did not forget because I reminded him half an hour earlier and he agreed he would not, yet he still turned up).
The engineer yesterday was a no-show, they never phoned or texted they could not make it. So I lost a day’s work waiting for them (I do not like discussing my business in front of contractors).
Seeing as I was not paying for the call-out I was not going to chase them and thought no more of it until a day later, as the matter was not urgent or an emergency, and I attempted to go about my day, trying to catch up from the day before.
I gave strict instructions if they were outside my property to phone or text me as I have a problem with my hearing and cannot hear the doorbell if I am on my own.
However today my daughter was with me and she would hear the bell if it were pressed, (which was not), I will come to this in a moment.
So my daughter and I are in the middle of working when she hears someone walking up our stairs calling my name (I could not hear anything as I am partially deaf). She answers and goes to see who it was, and a man she did not recognize is on our stairs inside our property. He never rang the bell or knocked on the door, just walked in unexpectedly and unannounced.
Entering a property unlawfully is called trespassing and one cannot just enter uninvited or pre-arranged unless it is an emergency or in the case of the Police, a warrant. *The thing is I have a witness and I made an unofficial complaint to the building contractor the following day.
I then got up and realized it was the engineer. I immediately said you were supposed to come yesterday and he replied “oh, was I”, with no apology or anything…(totally ignorant and rude). I did not want to kick off and say “have you never heard of knocking”?
NO FACEMASK (Regulations at the time of publication of this article)
I noted he was not wearing a facemask and I said hold on I will go get my facemask to which he replied: “do you want me to put one on”.
I suspect they were trying their luck hoping no one was in.
The landlord should not have given them keys so I think this was planned because why else would they have had keys to the property if they knew 100% someone would be in?
There is something quite off with this now that I am thinking about it.
NO SOCIAL DISTANCING
The engineer told me to show how low the pressure gauge drops but that meant I had to be less than a foot away from him as my kitchen is a confined space with only room for one person. I was reluctant to go anywhere near him but had no choice to comply with his wishes.
CONTRACTOR COVID REGULATIONS
A contractor must wash their hands and sanitize them before touching anything and that did not happen. In fact, he even leaned on the banister touching freshly washed clothes with his outer clothing that could have potentially cross-contaminated any pathogens he may have carried on his uniform. My daughter after he had gone had to re-wash her clothes and sanitize all the surfaces he had touched including the boiler.
At this stage, I did not want to make waves and went to put my mask on even though he should have had one on without asking me if I wanted him to or not. I felt had I insisted he wears his mask it would have caused animosity.
I explained the problem I was having to adjust the pressure twice a day every day and this is where it got personal. I have known this engineer for the length of time of my tenancy and over the years I have told him I suffer from OCD. I am not ashamed to say it and I am an advocate and editor for mental health on my online journal www.disabilityuk.co.uk and this is where my daughter and I picked up on his insensitive and rather rude remark and what he said: “are you sure you that you have to adjust the gauge twice a day or are you just saying it because you are high on your meds” he continued to say, although I did not hear him say it, however, my daughter did “I must be special or a lunatic”.
I have a witness to what he said.
People who have mental health issues should not be humiliated and made a mockery of, not everyone with mental health issues is going to be a patient of mental asylums in which I felt was what he was insinuating.
I am so tempted to name and shame him and the company he represents and give them bad press.
He insinuated I was making things up told my daughter to make track of how many times I adjusted the boiler without telling me and also insinuated that both my daughter and I were lying about the leaking radiator, which was not leaking in front of him. He did however state he would be coming back next week to fix the radiator that was hanging off the wall in another room.
Considering he turned up unannounced and I excused myself and said I had to get back to my work and he went “yer right” like I was making it up or something and he did not believe me.
It was approximately a year ago that he came out to install my cooker I bought that could not be fitted at the time of delivery because I had a problem with my “Hot Zone” in the kitchen whereby another local Cardiff Electricians (I am not mentioning any names but I did tell my landlord about their incompetence at the time when he had to rewire my electrics) failed to notice the problem when they did an electrical inspection. When I mentioned this to the Gas engineer he too did not know what a “Hot Zone” was either until I sent him a link.
He told me I should not report the electricians and should not start making waves. I took that he was threatening me in some way.
Also when I mentioned that I may have had a leak in the pipes last week over the phone to the gas engineers director, he said floorboards would have to be pulled up and I corrected him and said a thermal camera would spot the leak which costs about £700 and he said no one in Cardiff has anything like that. Some people do not like being corrected and a gadget like that is an investment to any plumber and they should have it as part of their tools.
So for me not to have a cooker over Christmas and New Year 2019/2020 as I could not get it fitted because the electrics needed re-wiring was not a big problem to anyone other than me who spent £1,500 on take-outs over a period of two months for myself and my family as I could not cook any food. Who is going to compensate me for this? This is why I am documenting everything and I have receipts.
I feel I am being humiliated and intimidated by these engineers as they are friendly with my landlord and anything I say to any of the contractors goes back to my landlord.
This type of disrespect, humiliation, and intimidation is causing emotional distress. Who can I complain to about rogue contractors and unprofessional traders? This is why I am unwell because people do not abide by rules and Covid Regulations and are very judgemental. Some people simply think they are better than you and will try to ridicule you as in the case today.
FINAL THOUGHTS FROM THE EDITOR
I will not mention this company other than they are not on the first page of Google for the search terms “Cardiff Gas Engineers” and have a hyphen in their domain name. But what I will do is document everything and go out of my way to help one of their competitors because they should not be making waves with me.
I have in fact most recently renewed thedomain name www.cardiffgasengineers.co.uk and originally was going to make the domain into a directory of “Cardiff Gas Engineers” purposely to exclude them, but now I will help any company other than them.
People underestimate me and what I do and am capable of.
It is unprofessional to be personal to a tenant and make a mockery of their disability regardless of whether their disability is physical or mental.
I once had a detective (CID) demoted to police constable for entering my property unannounced and without a warrant, and I still suffer PTSD from that which has brought back memories. This is added to my emotional distress.
Also, one is not exempt from wearing facemasks, even though some may think they do.
It is not the first time other engineers working for the same company in question have visited my property without wearing facemasks and I have complained previously. But if I was to again I suspect I would be complaining about the partner of the business as I believe he is and also a friend of the landlord and I guess he feels invincible.
If he mocked me about my mental health and medication he would have also mocked my landlord who also suffers from mental health problems.
I feel if someone complains too much is then deemed as a nuisance, so I have to keep my mouth shut but have learned over time to document everything.
BREACH OF TERMS OF AGREEMENT
Imagine if my daughter and I were not home and he let himself in, my insurance would become void.
Another scenario could have been, my daughter or I could have been half-dressed coming out of the bathroom or bedroom as was the case with the detective many moons ago.
24 HOURS NOTICE
A landlord, the contractor, or letting agent needs to give you 24 hours’ notice before entering your rented premises unless it is an emergency. They cannot walk in unless they have notified you first when they are arriving and even then, they cannot just walk in if they know someone is present. The resident needs to agree and give consent.
When you rent a property from a landlord it becomes your home. A landlord, contractor, or letting agent, should only enter the property without you being there, if you have given prior permission for them to do so, or if it is a genuine emergency.
While your landlord, contractor, or letting agent will need to gain access to the property to carry out inspections, repairs, and maintenance, the law says that they must give you 24-hours written notice.
Remember whatever you do there are consequences to your actions. If you report your landlord he /she may serve you an eviction notice. The same goes with engineers they may try to sue you, so you have to have the evidence documented and have a plan A and plan B before you start complaining.
Oh, I forgot to mention as he was leaving he said to my daughter I had successfully wasted his time. Even though he recognized the radiator needed fixing and said he would and I quote “have to book it in”, yet had no regard that I had to pay people yesterday to manage the chat widgets on my client’s sites and could not monitor them properly this morning as I was rudely interrupted, in fact, I had a missed chat today and my client noticed which does not look good for me. So wasting my time is fine?…
I made an indirect complaint to the contractor that came to work in my bathroom today, something different from the gas engineer’s job yesterday, knowing that my disdain will get back to my landlord. Even the contractor agreed the Gas Engineer was out of order and that I should make an official complaint. Let’s see what transpires next week when he has to return to fix the radiator in one of the bedrooms, I will be having words with him one to one, and I will record him in stealth mode if he bothers to turn up.
GP Appointments &Negligence, Lack of duty of care.
Patients are being told that doctors are too busy to cope with more 20-minute appointments that they have restricted calls for 10 minutes and to only discuss one ailment per consultation.
Critics say it could put people off discussing important health issues.
People who are vulnerable who have ongoing mental health issues or have multiple issues may be reluctant to phone multiple times.
According to some surgeries dealing with more than one health issue can increase the chances of a mistake. (A GP should not make mistakes, although I have proof that they do, with my daughter being prescribed Gaviscon by the GP yet the A&E diagnosed my daughter with Multiple Sclerosis).
My calculation is if the surgery did an eight-hour shift and had 20-minute consultations, would be 24 patients a day multiplied by 5 doctors would be 120 patients a day multiplied by 5 days would be 600 people a week or 2,400 patients per month that they could consult.
Not everyone comes to the surgery every week or every month, so what are doctors doing if they are having problems with time management?
GPs are insisting that patients raise only one problem per appointment because they are so short of time.
According to the Mail Online (January 2017), those with multiple ailments are being banned from booking longer 20-minute consultations – instead of being told to book a standard ten-minute appointment for each condition they want to discuss.
A ten-minute slot would equate to 6 slots per hour multiplied by 8 hours, which equates to 48 patients per day per Doctor. (48 patients per day per 10 min slots x 5 GP’s = 240 patients per day x 5 days = 1,200 patients per week x 4 weeks = 4.800 patients per month).
Surgeries are increasingly introducing a controversial policy to cope with rising demand. But campaigners described the rules as ‘outrageous’ and warned they would put off patients from discussing potentially important health worries.
Practices across the UK have adopted the ‘one problem per appointment’ policy which claims it is to improve ‘clinical safety. However, there is a real increased risk that mistakes will be made and things missed as the Doctor may be inclined to rush, particularly if other patients are waiting.’ Other Surgeries have gone one step further by banning any long appointments for multiple health issues.
GP surgeries are under pressure from the rising and aging population on top of a recruitment crisis of family doctors. NHS figures published in December 2016 showed that in some parts of the country the number of patients on surgery lists has soared by 30 percent in just three years.
Katherine Murphy, chief executive of the Patients Association, said: ‘It is outrageous that patients are being told there are rules around the health problems that can be discussed.
We hear so frequently from patients who struggle to even get an appointment that I’m confident most would take such an opportunity to ask about a secondary or less-urgent health concern.
‘Our concerns are that patients will not be given the opportunity, or maybe put off, from asking for medical advice because of this rule, which is a very serious patient safety risk.’
Dr. Helen Stokes-Lampard, chairman of the Royal College of GPs, said she was ‘saddened by the move. She added: ‘For a lot of consultations, particularly for people with chronic diseases or any psychological element to it, to be pressured into ten minutes is really unhelpful.’
Note from the Editor.
In Consideration of the above article, the Editor (myself) who has multiple health issues wrote a nine-page letter to the GP back in May of this year. I sent it via email with an attachment marked as private and confidential. I received an email back from the practice managerwho said that she had read the letter (Not addressed to her) and that I needed to discuss my concerns by making a phone call to the GP even though it clearly stated in the letter what my concerns were.
(The GP could have phoned the patient (aka me) to discuss the concerns ratherthan ignore me altogether).
So, six months later seeing I never received a letter from the GP or a phone call, I happened to be chasing up a missing prescription for my daughter and I decided to kill two birds with one stone and asked for the GP to phone me only to be told I would have to phone back the following day to book a consultation. I replied just mark it on the system that I need the doctor to phone me.
By all accounts, the person I was speaking to could not pass on a message as I will explain.
I related that the letter I wrote in May clearly stated my concerns and that it could be marked on the system for the GP to phone me and that I should not be chasing the GP. The receptionist (male) said he would pass the message on so I thought…
Within minutes of the call ending the practice manager phoned demanding that I phone back the following day to book a consultation, she never said what time, but I presume at 8 am when the lines get jammed from people trying to make appointments for a good half hour to an hour, only to be told the slots are gone and to phone back the day after. This has happened previously to me so maybe the system has changed; I do not know, as I hardly ever phone the GP, I prefer everything in writing?
I said that the doctor should phone me and for the practice manager to pass the message on, who replied the doctor is too busy to read letters or correspond to them and that unless I phoned back in the morning to book a consultation the doctor will not be phoning me.
My reply was, I had to drop what I was doing today to speak with the practice manager that did not schedule a call and did not even ask if it was OK to talk. I continued to say I am also busyand that this call was inconvenient to which the practice manager raised her voice and in a stern tone said “Goodbye” and cut me off by ending the call.
If the GP does not phone me tomorrow, I will go out of my way to name and shame the practice and sue them for negligence for my escalation of health issues and emotional distress.
If I work into the early hours of the morning, I am not going to get up especially early to phone the surgery to ask for the GP to phone me when I have spoken with three people in total that could easily put a post-it note, on the GP’s desk to phone me. It is not difficult.
The overall way they treat their patients does not surprise me why people get agitated. If I were an elderly person, I would not be ringing back, this could then cause the persons’ health to deteriorate even more.
I speak on behalf of everyone who has problems speaking to their GP for multiple health issues. If a letter has been received and as per the phone call today which confirmed my ailments have been put on the system, you would think the care of duty by the clinician should have followed it up, but they have not, which in my way of thinking is negligence.

I lost my ex-husband and a family friend this year and around May time, which felt I needed some support from my GP hence wrote the letter not only discussing my mental health but other multiple ailments. Had I have had suicidal thoughts you would not be reading this right now because of my GP’s incompetence.
Imagine someone with a similar health issue relying on the GP to get in touch with them, I dread to think how many people have had their symptoms get worse because of the lack of duty of care by the clinician.
I have now spoken to three people in total over my letter including a cluster pharmacist who phoned me to discuss my medication who also told me she had read my letter and I quote “The letter was very thorough which is what GP’s like”, yet no one has followed up on my health issues?

As I skimmed through all my inboxes this morning I came a cross an email that I had received through a contact form on one of my sites. As you can imagine I have a lot of emails and have my fair share of crank, scam garbage. But as I read through it I could see this email was different it wasn’t asking me for money and had nothing to do with financial trading.
I also do not condone fake news, and conspiracy theories and work on facts. I always try to find the source of what I write to match my content. This is controversial and am still not sure what to make of it.

According to Trudeau the Canadian Prime Minister who said he had to personally reassure a young woman during a recent virtual meeting that his government will not remove people from their homes to put them in containment facilities.
Trudeau said the best thing that Canadians can do is to listen to trusted experts such as Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam and regional health officials. “We need to hold together and resist people who would sow chaos within our communities and our democracy,”.
“The the best thing Canadians can do, [they] can listen to experts, can listen to doctors, can listen to people who are focused on keeping them safe every single day, whether it’s wearing your mask, whether it’s keeping your distance, whether it’s getting the COVID alert app, or whether it’s eventually getting vaccinated when we have a successful and safe vaccine.”

Jaroslaw Kaczynki the deputy Prime Minister should be held accountable in the European Union Courts and if this virus spreads and people die because of him he should be tried and sentencedespecially if it spreads further to the UK.
Jaroslaw Kaczynksi who is 71 years of age and is basically a grumpy old man whose twin brother died in the Smolensk Plane Crash which killed a number of high ranking Government officials in April 2010, never married and lived with his mother until she was hospitalized.
This man has no regard for human life. He believes that the feminist movement in Poland want to destroy the country, he is destroying the country just fine single handidly.
To think that my parents were Polish and my father fought in the Polish Army in WWII in Monte Cassino and then later in Britain, I am ashamed to even admit I have Polish Roots because of this idoit (idiota) in power, why has he not retired or stepped down?
To think businesses in the UK are struggling and closing down left rght and centre, if I had some sort of power in the UK Governement I would close the borders for all Poles coming in and out of the UK indefinately until the virus was under control because of the country unrest of the abortion ban protests with no social distancing and perhaps with one exception allow women from Poland to enter to have private abortions after being quarantined.
Jaroslaw Kaczynski should never had made this law knowing people would protest in the middle of a Global Pandemic!
If Jaroslaw Kaczynskidoes not care about social distancing, the coronavirusor women, why should the UK Government care about his people.
I was born and bred in the UK and am proud to be British.
Furthermore since when has any person got any right to tell you what you can or cannot do with your body?
If I was a woman that wanted or needed to have an abortion in the UK it is perfectly legal to have one, yet in Poland they live in the middle ages and it is against the law unless a women was raped or becomes pregnant because of incest, otherwise if a fetus is found to be deformed including down syndrome it would have to be carried full term so that in the event of still birth it could have a proper burial.
The country is so messed up that if a person dies in the UK and leaves a last will and testament the will goes to probate and the estate is distributed to the people named in the will. However if someone in Poland dies and leaves a last will and testament every living relative from all over the world has to be informed to give an opportunity to contest it. This in turn drags on for many months and incurs a lot of court costs which is chi-ching to the Polish Government.
Poland are so many decades behind to their western counterparts, they blame everything that has happens to their country past and present all on WWII and being supressed by communism yet now that they are free they have not moved on. Yet the rest of the world was also affected by WWII atrocities that is why it was called a World War but we have moved on. It is part of history and something that is taught in schools not brain washed in our heads via tv programmes on a weekly basis.
The commercials between the tv programmes are always about vitamins which I have not worked out why yet?, perhaps because of the rural culture and the low pay, people may be lacking in nutrients to maintain a substantial diet and hence vitamins are brain washed into peoples minds as a way to supplement their poor diets.
The country is a very racist and homephobic This may not be the case for young people living in urban areas in Poland but for the most part the rural elders do play a part in their racist homaphobic beliefs which are passed down to their children and granchildren. People in rural areas are very judgemental. I once gave my aunt a ‘Chanel’ scarf and she said she did not want something that was made by a Jew. I told her it was from a French Fashion Design House but she did not want to believe me and tossed the scarf to the side, like garbage. I was deeply offended considering how much money I spent on the gift. These people do not know anyhting about the western world, lesson learnt.
Men especially in rural Polanddo not respect women, (again i’m not saying all men but most men) I should know I have a large family in the villages and also the Cities.
Men go into the fields all day to work hard and the women are at home-making, getting their dinners ready and their beds warm (I know that sounds extremely sexisist, but thats the truth) aswell as attending to their children. Men whom are essentially the bread winners of the family (warm bath theory) without ambition who do the same job day in and day out turn to alcohol usually vodka to relieve the tensions (this is the norm). This in turn results in them getting excessively drunk and then mentally and physically abuse towards their partners/wives. This is then passed down from generation to generation.
Poland lives in the name of the Catholic church, they have more religious holidays than we have public holidays.
Everything is to do with the church. The church is against abortions so that is why Jaroslaw Kaczynski has made it a law without consulting the public people first.
Every Sunday like clockwork the families gather together and put on their Sunday Best to go to Sunday Mass and willingly donate to the churches. I once had a choir boy menacingly stand over me to see if I would donate and at that time I had no loose change and mistakenly said the words (no thank you – nie dzienkuje) as he was waving the basket full of money in front of me. He may have thought I was saying “no thank you” to his kind gesture of him offering me the basket of money lol (I know it a collection basket lol).
The priests live in modern houses which look like villas by UK standards and every religious holiday not only do they collect at mass which could be a couple times a day, mass is also performed every single day of the week. The priests who you would think have no income drive top of the range cars (work that one out and go abroad on holiday regularly). They also come round the houses of all the residents for more donations. Yet the poor people (especailly the elderly) who have literally no money to scrape together have to do what it takes to give the priest a donation in exchange for the priest to bless them, their homes and their land, yet all their lives these poor people pray for a better life and it does not take a genius to know who gets richer and gets poorer.
The church is a big scam and if there is a God and (I am not saying that there is or isn’t), if you pray God will hear you where ever you are without you going week in and week out praying in Church and making the church richer and yourself that tiny little bit poorer.
The schools are usually run by priests and there is one particular priest which I met a couple of times was rumoured to be physically and mentally abusive towards children in the classroom by physically assualting them if they misbehaved or had low grades. He visited my ex-partners mothers house on this one occasion whilst I was there on his collection rounds and did not take to kindly to me, maybe he could sense I could see through him or maybe thought because I had a British accent I was a foreigner which they are not so fond of. He was nicknamed the ‘Demon Priest’ of Grabice in West Lubusz VoivodeshipPoland by the children in the village and some of the parents. There was an unpleasant mannerism and persona about him, perhaps maybe because I did not give him any money he took a disliking to me, who knows – put it this way if looks could kill.
Women in Poland wanting abortions.
If I was a women in Poland and I wanted to have an abortion I would make arrangement to come to the UK and go to a private clinic. Also there are morning after pills whereby after unprotected sex you can take a pill which can be bought in local pharamcies such as Boots Chemist in the UK and online.
Always practice safe sex. Condoms not only are a reliable form of contraception they also protect against venereal disease.

Today I need to vent my anger out as someone is lying to me again……..
According to ‘Boots’ whom I have elected for the past few years to collect my prescriptions, my prescription were not delivered today. This is happening every month my prescriptions are not being sent to the pharmacy from my GP’s. In which every month the pharmacy for the last few months have had to chase the GP for my medication. It is never on time.
Not knowing the explanation why that has happened I phoned the GP Surgery today to get an explanation and this is what I found:

I phoned twice as the first time the phone cut off whilst I was waiting to be put through and finally when I got to speak to the person on the other end, I asked why my medication was not at the Chemist and wanted to know why that was. The person on the other end (male) replied that I was due a medical review and that I was notified I had to contact the surgery.
I asked how was I notified considering I did not receive a letter in the post an sms, a telephone or email?
The person said that they notified me by sending a slip out with my prescription. Obviously I could not argue that if it was true or not as I did not have Boots on a conference call at the time to confirm if it was correct or not?
I simply said I had a review about 10 months ago, how often do I need a review?, in which he could not answer me.
I went onto say I have run out of medication and cannot stop my medication to which he replied there is nothing he can do.
Imagine if my medication was a life saving drug such as patients with heart conditions or transplants etc, imagine if their medication stopped suddenly, I shudder to think what would happen.
I continued to say the NHS cannot refuse to help me and he said yes they canrefuse and until I get my review he will not be able to sort out a prescription, but then contradicted himself and said if I were to find out what time tomorrow the Chemist was going to collect the prescription he would have it ready. LOL.
He also said I needed to contact the surgery tomorrow to speak with the pharmacist at 8am (I will see how long it takes me to get through as I have redialled over 100 times in the past) as the pharmacist was not in today. Since when is a pharmacist qualified to review my medication and my health?, I would have thought it was the Doctors job to review my medication and my health not a pharmacist? How can she prescribe more medication or know what is the most suitable drug is going to be for me. I would have thought pharmacists are not qualified to write out medication or assess anyones health let alone access my files. They are there to do one thing only and that is to dispense drugs and give recomendations but not advice.
I need to record my calls from now on.
Like I said in my previous post’s about this surgery they should be working at least five days a week not come in for a day or half a day. But thinking about this I will be speaking with a pharmacist that cannot be right surely?
This is bad management on the surgeries part and considering they have my telephone, email and address they could have easily contacted me by these means but they said they sent a slip out with my last medication and it was the responsibility of the patient to arrange a medical review. But how was I to know I had one due when no one told me?
I proceeded to call ‘Boots’ and speak with the person I spoke to earlier when I enquired why my medication had not been delivered and told her what the surgery had told me. She replied that the surgery have had a lot of problems with prescriptions the last few months and that “there was never a slip given to her notifying her or me I needed a medical review” when she had collected my prescriptions last month and the month before otherwise she would have told me.
The surgery said it is not their resposibility if the message is not passed on to me and it is not their responsibility if the chemist happens to loose the notification.(My answer to that is do not use third party companies or people to pass on messages and contact the patient directly, via sms, email telephone or post), Its not hard.
Do not pass the buck and say it is not your problem, yes it is your problem if you fail to do your job correctly and someone becomes ill because of your incompetance. I am now ill because of the GP Surgery.
Due to the incompetence of the surgery they have successfully made me feel very anxious and depressed.
I feel like crying and as for work I cannot face doing anything at all. However I need to work as I am self employed and no one will do my work for me.
OCD intrusive thoughts can be triggered by anything that can cause distress or anxiety to a person. Not only do I suffer with OCD, I also have Clinical Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I am also suffering with Social Anxiety Disorder and want to Social Distance myself permanently.
My OCD primarily has been by far been ‘germ contamination’ but lately and especially today ‘intrusive thoughts‘ are starting to take over and I am fighting really hard against them. I just need something to take the edge of things and not let me think too deeply…..
Furthermore I went onto say to the guy at the surgery to just put in the notes about the patient on the system I had called and to say that the patient say’s “there is no change at the time I was speaking with him”. He said he could not put that in the notes as he was not medically qualified, I responded you do not need to be qualified to type a few words in the notes and in a way I am glad he did not, as my OCD and Depression has increased ten-fold since getting off the phone from himas now and only now because of today’s incident I have gone into a deeper darker place and my OCD, & Depression has got much, much worse.
I wrote a post a few days ago about ‘Mental Health‘ and I feel I am spiralling deeper into my depression and my anxiety because of people that have no empathy and do not give two monkeys about your health and will lie through their teeth to defend themselves and their corner when in reality they are the weak link and due to bad management the patient has to suffer even more.
Also when I had my last medical review (about 10 months ago) I said I would contact them if there was any change, well thanks to the surgery I am today officially on a scale of:
The scale calculator of 1 to 20 with 1 being in good spirits and 20 being bad spirits, I am showing really bad signs. I want to cry and my heart is palpitating and I am getting intrusive thoughts all because of this surgery.
I need something to calm me down and I am trying and fighting so hard to not go out and buy myself a bottle of (Vodka) to make my thoughts go away. I have low on medication so there is nothing I can take to calm me down.
I feel the NHS has failed me and considering I am a British Citiizen and pay my Taxes you would think I would have a better service. If you look at all the NHS Reviews in this blog you will find this is not he first incident I have written about them.
Before anyone suggests anything, I do not want to speak to anyone especially the surgery, why is it that I have to phone them to chase them up to do this medical review when it is their job to follow up (considering they supposedly care about your well being). If I were the surgery and had not heard from the patient within a month of requesting a medical review I would have followed up until I got hold of that patient and not stop their medication completely. What if the person is dependant (as I am) on the medication and this causes the person to become more ill, should the NHS compensate for their mis-doings? This is the NHS GP’ surgery’s fault, not mine.
On top of this I am bound to loose business because every hour I am not working I am loosing business and do not have someone to take over me when I am ill, so its not as if I can go one the sick.
I am livid yet again and extremely sad, I feel I cannot function properly all because of this GP surgery today. You watch their lame excuse when I finally speak to someone tomorrow and mark my words I will be following up with an update to this post.
UPDATE THURSDAY 30/07/2020
So I phoned the GP Surgery promptly at 8am (Suprisingly I got through without re-dialling) this morning just like the operater yesterday had told me to do and I was greeted by what I assume was a middle aged woman anyway I explain I need to have a medical review and have phoned to arrange one.
Now wait for this you will be gob smacked…….
She only tells meI am not due a medical review (which is what I tried telling the guy yesterday)????
I went on to say but I have not had my medication from the pharmacy and she replied I have not had any medication since May 2020. I tried correcting her and she was adament she was right and I was wrong, so I continued to say that I can prove I had medication every single month and am due medication for end of July beginning of August and she then replied that the pharmacy had not put a request in? (She was making an excuse to cover her back as you will find out later when I got to speak to the same guy I spoke to yestaerday when I phoned back the second time today).
So tell me something am I loosing the plot here or what?
I said so what happens now?, she said seeing that I believe I need a medical review (sarcastically) she will arrange for the pharmacist to ring me back. She asked for my best telephone number to reach me on and when I asked her to confirm the number she told me to tell her the number again in which I said but I just told you the number so please repeat it back to me. Her tone in her voice went up a notch and she quickly said the number and before I could say anything else she hung up on me.
I wanted her name and an estimated time when the pharmacist was going to phone me as I had meetings scheduled on Zoom all day today and would have kept a slot free for the pharmacist. It is now 3 hours since I made the call and no one has phoned me back. I have wasted a whole morning of business and cancelled my appointments in which I have lost both clients because of the incompentant surgery as they were not prepared to arrange another meeting with me……..Thanks for that Meddygfa Albany Surgery!!!!!!!!
I suspect I know who I spoke to (intitials CC) but I could be wrong. Its not the first time I have had altercations with this individual so it would be no suprise to me if it was one and the same person. The person I spoke to today was rude and unempathetic.
I am struggling to function right now because the ar@@ does not know what the elbow is doing.
I phoned them back a few minutes ago and their response was that I should have phoned the surgery every time my medication was late.
I was told and this time by the same guy I spoke to yesterday that regardless if I needed a medical review or not I had to phone the surgery (back tracking his words from yesterday) if my medication was late.
I said the pharmacy said they would deal with it so I should not have to double check to see if the pharmacy have done their job or not as there has to be an element of trust and respect for the pharmacy considering they have always said if there is a problem they would phone me back.
I went on to say it is not my job to chase people up and this is when he got defensive and said but it is my job as it is my medication and that there have been no issues with deliveries at all since November of last year. B@llS@@t. (Not once have they been on time as he read out all random dates when I received my medication).
The pharmacy can vouch that there has been a problem month after month and I am sick to the back teeth hearing about the GP surgery lame excuses and passing the buck.
I am certainly going to be looking at a different practice when this pandemic is over.
According to guy I spoke to today and yesterday, the internal pharmacist that gives the authorisation to have my medication dispensed by a pharmacy signed off the medication today, yet did not phone me, so when I said cancelled all my meeting today for nothing to wait for this phone call that never materialised, I did not even get an apology.
Who is going to compensate me for my mental health well being that has gone through the roof and loss of business today and I cannot see myself working? even though I have to, as I run a business and business cannot stop because I feel unwell.
I said since yesterday both the guy today and the operator this morning had caused my stress & anxiety levels to increase tenfold and his reply was he would arrange for a GP to phone me back which would mean me cancelling the rest of my appointments for today. In sheer fustration I said forget it I will hit the Vodka bottle instead.
He went on to say because my medication had “MAXED OUT” that is why I needed the internal pharmacist to redo the prescription request. He also said she had authorised two months worth, so what happens in October, will I have to go through this B@#LL Sh#@t all over again? (Heads will roll if I do). You would be suprised who I know with nearly 8,000 connections on LinkedIn………..So why could he not have done this yesterday and if there was a problem with my medication ‘maxing out‘ (surely I cannot be blamed for that aswell) it should be the surgeries responsibility to notify the patient but again he backtracked on his word from yesterday. So this is (Bad Business Management). Besides what does Maxing Out mean exactly?, when I have had repeat prescriptions for years and now they use the words ‘maxing out’.
He also said the last time I had medication was end of May 2020.
Yet here is proof what should have been end of June was beginning of July, so someone is telling porkies or not using their heads. Originally my medication was dispensed in the middle of the month and has slowly crept to the end of the month with the exception of the 1st of July which threw people off guard.
I wonder how many people in Roath use this surgery and will read this post will agree with what I am saying and will share their nightmare stories.
I am not stopping there, One cannot complain directly to the surgery witholut writing a formal letter, although I do have an email Prescribing.Clerk.W97014@wales.nhs.uk which I will try to contact first.
If that fails I plan to complain to email@example.com and if not to my satisfaction which most probably it won’t as they all back each other up from past experience about other matters I have escalated, I will take it towww.ombudsman-wales.org.uk
To top it all I had to drop everything I was doing including finishing typing the end of the post, as all of a sudden I was getting bad chest pains and jaw ache. I took two Gaviscon tablets thinking not the worst as I am not a hypochondriac and am an optimist rather than a pesimist and some pain killers and after about 20 minutes the pain subsided, but for sure I got a little worried and did not want to alarm my daughter, but thankfully the pain went away. This is a sure sign that I have worked myself up because of these people.
I am signing out and am just going to chill and read a book or something just to try and calm myself down.

Therefore if after 30 days you still have not received a refund and this applies to all airlines, if a consumer has exhausted all avenues of communication to contact the airline, to include: telephone, email, online form and chat and still have diffilculty, the consumer can then contact the following organizations for further assistance:
Please use the online form to send your details of your complaint against the airline or airport, this will tell you if your complaint is one that (CAA) can help you with. You don’t have to fill it out all in one go.
In order to progress your complaint, you will need to submitt copies of your supporting information:
Copies of letters or emails to the airline/airport
Copies of the letters the airline/airport sent to you
Details of your flight (flight number, date, time, route, airline reference, number of passengers on the booking)
For expenses claims, copies of receipts
Scans of these can be uploaded and attached to the online form.
You will get a response by email to let you know your complaint has been recieved, but (CAA) will be unable to update you on the progress until they have received all of the relevant supporting documentation.
There are free online third party organizations that can help resolve your compalint but it will take a lot longer for communication. Sometimes it best to just tackle the bull by the horns directly metaphorically speaking and contact key people directly. If you are on LinkedIn you can send a messge directly to the CEO of the airline, which usually you can find by doing a wikipedia search.
